Ransomville Speedway Karting Profile: Abby Fisher

The Little R shows consistent growth in the female presence each year. These girls give the boys a run for their money and 11 year old Abby Fisher is no exception. Before racing go karts, this Wilson native raced dirt bikes. Her brother also raced before her and she wanted to try it out. Abby has been hooked ever since and will be competing in the Junior 2 Division for the 2020 go kart racing season. In 2019, Abby showed growth from week to week and actually won some races after her dad fixed up her kart. For the 2020 season, Abby’s goal is to “compete in the points battle” and improve each week. Abby likes that Thursday nights she can race and hang out with her friends. Her dad, Doug Fisher, thinks that “the young classes are fun to watch” and the Little R is filled with “lots of good kids”. Although Abby is a strong competitor, she still believes that the competition is “fun, fast, and hard to beat”. Abby and her dad are itching to get back to the Little R and are thankful they have the sponsors to help them get there. They would like to thank Bart Breese Snap-On Tools, R+R Door, and Bin There Dump That for their generous support and partnership for the 2020 season. Abby would personally like to thank her dad, Doug Fisher, for giving her the opportunity to compete in such a fun sport and learn so much from him.
