    Pendykoski and Kish Score Career First Ransomville Wins; Williamson, Plante, and Newton Return to Victory Lane

    RANSOMVILLE, NY (May 15, 2026) Mat Williamson continued his Ransomville Speedway dominance Friday night, as the five-time and defending track champion won the Krown Undercoating 358 Modified feature on Bud’s Apple Pie and Chestnut Road Health & Fitness night. Nigel Pendykoski from Thorold, Ontario won his first career Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature win. Chase Kish from Port Colborne, Ontario won the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stock feature. Ryan Plante from Ransomville, NY won the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stock main event. Lucas Newton from Oakfield, NY won his second J&D Tires and Service Novice Sportsman feature of the season.

    Austin Susice and James Sweeting brought the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds to the green flag for their 30-lap feature, with Sweeting in the lead, with Noah Walker battling with Susice for second place. Austin Susice would reel in Sweeting, and the duo would battle for the lead, just as Ryan Susice passed Noah Walker to take over third place on lap seven. Austin Susice got high off turn two, allowing Ryan Susice to take over second place, with 10th place starting Mat Williamson passing Austin on lap 12 to take over third place. Ryan Susice would take over the lead on lap 13, with Williamson taking over second place. Williamson would use the outside line to take over the lead on lap 19. Williamson would drive away from the field to pick up his second win of the season.

    Doug Walsh and Madyson Rouse were on the front row for Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature, with Rouse in the early lead ahead of Nigel Pendykoski and Tyler Foster. Pendykoski would take over the lead on lap three , as Brett Senek battled with Tyler Foster for third place. Cody McPherson would take over fifth place and then would reel in Senek. McPherson would take over fourth place on lap 12 and would set his sights on the lead trio. McPherson passed Foster on lap 18 to move into third place and on lap 21, would pass Rouse to take over second. Pendykoski would earn his first career Ransomville sportsman feature win.

    Phil Schepis and Chase Kish led the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks to the green with Schepis in the early race lead. Mike Welch would quickly move into the top three and would challenge Kish for second place. Kish would take the lead away from Schepis off a lap four restart, with Welch moving into second ahead of Josh Pangrazio, Doug Webster, and Byron Dewitt. With Kish in the lead, Pangrazio started to reel in Welch for second place. Nate Tabor came to a stop on lap 18, setting up a green-white-checkered finish. Kish would hold off Welch and Pangrazio to earn his first career checkered flag.

    Cody Griffin and Ben Hornquist brought the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks to the green flag for their 15-lap main event, with Hornquist taking over the top spot, ahead of Ryan Plante, Brandon Close, Griffin, and Jeffrey Wynes. Tyler Moden hit the turn one wall to bring out the Lenco Supply caution flag. The lap three restart would see Hornquist back out front, with Plante giving chase. Plante would take over the lead on lap nine, as Brandon Close was able to pass Cody Griffin to take over third place. Jeffrey Wynes would move into fourth and then battled with Close in the late going. Plante would go on to score the feature win.

    Brandon Guyette and Johnny Zimmerman shared the front row for the J&D Tires and Service Novice Sportsman feature, with Guyette in the lead ahead of Zimmerman and Lucas Newton. Guyette would continue to show the way at the races’ halfway mark, with Zimmerman and Newton closing in. Newton would take over second and then on lap nine, used the inside of turn four to take over the lead. Newton would go on to earn his second win of the season.

    Next Friday night, May 22, will be a special night at Ransomville Speedway as Ed Ortiz will be the inaugural inductee into Ransomville’s Ring of Honor. Bailey Brothers Landscaping and Auto Value will present the full card of racing featuring the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks, and the J&D Tires and Service Novice Sportsman. The night will end with the popular Demolition Derby. Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands open at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm.
