Schedule Updates for Big R and Little R
RANSOMVILLE, NY (April 27, 2026) Management of the Ransomville Speedway and The Little R would like to give an update with the schedule as we kick off the 2026 season of racing.
Ransomville Speedway will host an open practice session for all dirt cars on Thursday, April 30 with pit gates opening at 5pm, and cars on track at 6:45pm. There will NOT be any time trials taking place during the open practice session. As custom, the drums of VP Race Fuels that are given away will be given away via a draw for entries on opening night for the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds and the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman. Opening Night will be a draw/redraw format.
The Little R open practice that was scheduled for April 30 has been cancelled. “We made the tough decision to cancel the practice session for the karts due to wet grounds,” General Manager Tana Robinson said. “With all the rain that we have had over the past couple weeks, it has made the infield unsafe, and we do not want to damage the drivers equipment as well as damage to the infield,” Robinson added. The 2026 Little R Season Opener will still take place on Thursday, May 7th with points starting for all classes. The Novice division will be running practice sessions throughout the night.
This Friday night, May 1 will be the 69th Season Opener presented by Buffalo Barbeque Quest and Lenco Supplies featuring the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks, and the J&D Tires Novice Sportsman. Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands open at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm.
It’s never too early to purchase tickets for the highly anticipated visit from the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Sprint Cars on Thursday, July 23. Tickets are available online by going to https://highlimitracing.ticketspice.com/ransomville-speedway
