Ransomville Speedway Announces Increased Purse for 358 Modifieds

RANSOMVILLE, NY (April 22, 2026) Ransomville Speedway officials are pleased to announce an increase to the purse structure for the track’s headline division, the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, for the 2026 racing season.
The enhanced payout will see the race winner now taking home $1,750, with positions second through 15th also receiving increased payouts. The move reflects the speedway’s continued commitment to supporting its competitors and strengthening one of the premier weekly divisions in the region.

“We are excited to be able to do this for our headline class, the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds,” said Ransomville Speedway General Manager Tana Robinson. “We wanted to show our appreciation for those who’ve called Ransomville home for many years and also entice more drivers to give us a try," Robinson said. "Jamie Friesen has been busy on the track, helping us to get it in tip top shape for 2026," Robinson continued.

The Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds have long been a cornerstone of competition at “The Big R,” featuring some of the top dirt modified talent in Western New York and Southern Ontario. The increased purse is expected to further elevate competition levels and attract additional teams to the weekly program.

The gates will swing open for the first time in 2026 on Friday, April 24, as VP Racing Fuels presents Test, Tune, & Time. Pit gates will open at 5pm, with cars going on track at 6:45. The front row for the main events on Opening Night for the 358 Modifieds, Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks, and the J&D Tires Novice Sportsman will be determined via time trials.

Opening Night 2026 will take place on Friday, May 1 as Buffalo Barbeque Quest and Lenco Supplies presents the 69th Season Opener for all classes. Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands at 6pm, and racing will begin at 7:15pm live in person and streaming around the world on DirtTrackDigest.TV.
