Ransomville Speedway Adding Mod Lites and Thunder Stocks to 2026 Schedule
RANSOMVILLE, NY (February 22, 2026) Ransomville Speedway officials are excited to announce the addition of two fan-favorite divisions to the 2026 racing schedule. Due to strong interest and demand from drivers, both the Mod Lites and Thunder Stocks have officially been added to this season’s lineup.
The high-powered Mod Lites will make their pilgrimage to “The Big R” on Friday, July 17, 2026, bringing their fast-paced, open-wheel action to the historic dirt oval. Known for their compact size and big speed, Mod Lites consistently deliver thrilling side-by-side racing that keeps fans on their feet. The Mod Lites will be bringing drivers from both Southern Ontario and Central New York to see if they can take on “The Big R”.
In addition, the action-packed Thunder Stocks have been added to the schedule for Friday, August 28, 2026. A staple of racing throughout the Niagara region, the Thunder Stocks division showcases competitive racing that has generated tremendous buzz among drivers eager for another opportunity to compete at Ransomville. Before the divisional rule change in 2021, the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks had rules that were very similar to what the Thunder Stocks currently use.
“These additions were driven by the racers themselves,” said General Manager Tana Robinson. “We’ve had a great deal of interest from both Mod Lite and Thunder Stock competitors wanting to race at Ransomville in 2026. We’re proud to be able to provide them with a place to showcase their talent in front of our passionate fans.”
Both events will be part of the regular Friday night racing program, with purse information to be announced at a later date.
The full 2026 schedules are available online as well as on Ransomville Speedway’s social media channels. Fans are encouraged to follow the speedway for updates, ticket information, and additional announcements as the season approaches.
