Williamson, Bansmer, Pangrazio, and Susice Claim Ransomville Track Championships
RANSOMVILLE, NY (August 29, 2025) For the fifth consecutive season, St. Catharines, Ontario’s Mat Williamson finished the season on top of the points chase in the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds at the Ransomville Speedway. East Aurora, NY’s Jacob Bansmer won his second Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature of the season and clinched the track championship by four points. Oakfield, NY’s Josh Pangrazio won his second KiPo Chevrolet Street Stock Championship in three seasons and earned his 11th divisional win of the season. Cole Susice from Ransomville, NY edged out race winner Matt Hornquist from Eden by just two points to earn his fourth track title. Madyson Rouse from Fort Erie, Ontario won the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature event.
The Friday night racing program was presented by Niagara Hardwood, 716 Auto Glass, and RCS Snow Removal.
John Smith and Steve Lewis Jr brought the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds to the green flag for their season finale with, Lewis to the lead ahead of Brad Rouse and Kyle Richner. Gary Lindberg would race in fourth and was followed by Chad Brachmann. Rouse would challenge Lewis for the lead and would take over the lead on lap eight. Mat Williamson would take over sixth from Noah Walker on lap 12, as Gary Lindberg would battle with Kyle Richner for third. The caution would come out for Jessica Kriegisch after suffering a driveshaft issue in turn two. Richner would take over second on the restart, as Mat Williamson raced in third place. Williamson would take over second and would go after Rouse. Williamson and Rouse battled for several laps, with Williamson taking the lead with two laps remaining and would go on to score the win, his ninth overall win at the speedway in 2025.
Luke Blose and Jim Harbison were on the front row for the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature event, with Tyler Foster in the lead. Brett Senek would battle with Nigel Pendykoski for second place, with Derek Wagner and Jake Bansmer racing in the top five. With Foster still in the lead, the eyes in the stands were watching Bansmer and points leader Cam Tuttle as just 10 points separated Tuttle and Bansmer for the track title. Every time Bansmer would move up a position on the track, Tuttle would respond. After passing Nigel Pendykoski, Bansmer would waste no time to reel in and challenge race leader Foster for the top spot. Bansmer would take the lead on lap 21 and would go on to earn his second win of the season and would clinch the track championship.
Nate Tabor and Alex Morris were on the front row for the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks with, Morris in the lead. Josh Pangrazio would take over second and then would take over the lead on lap three. Morris would run in second, as Mike Welch and Brandon Sherwood raced in the top four. Sherwood’s run would end on lap 10 as he went pitside. Pangrazio would pull away to his 11th win of the season.
Jacob Flynn and Jeffrey Wynes shared the front row for the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks feature event, with Wynes in the lead. Ryan Plante would take the lead at the end of lap one, with Flynn in second. Matt Hornquist would take over the second spot, with Cole Susice racing in third. Hornquist would take off in the lead with Close and Susice battling for second place. Hornquist would go on to score the win, and with his third-place finish, Cole Susice would clinch the track championship.
Jacklyn Nettleton and Jocelyn Just were on the front row for the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature event, with Just in the lead. Austin Seburn would take over second at the halfway mark and would challenge Just for the lead. Seburn’s strong run would end with a flat right rear tire on lap seven. On the ensuing restart, Madyson Rouse would take over the lead, and she would go on to score the feature win.
Next Friday night will be headlined by the 8th annual John Susice Memorial for the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks. Joining the Street Stocks will be the second visit of the season by the CRSA Sprint Cars, plus the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman, Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman, and the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks. VanDeMark Chemical and MDM Painting will be presenting the season finale. Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm.
