Williamson, Tuttle, Pangrazio, Close, and Just Win on Hawaiian Night at Ransomville
RANSOMVILLE, NY (August 22, 2025) “Money” Mat Williamson from St. Catharines, Ontario was victorious in the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds on Hawaiian Night presented by Firth Jewelers at the Ransomville Speedway Friday night. Cameron Tuttle from Wilson, NY won his third Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature of the season. Josh Pangrazio from Oakfield, NY won his 10th KiPo Chevrolet Street Stock feature of the season. Brandon Close from Lockport, NY won his third Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stock feature of the season. Jocelyn Just from Ransomville, NY won the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman.
John Smith and Brad Rouse brought the Krown Undercoating 358 Modified feature to the green flag, with Rouse taking the lead. Jesse Cotriss would take over second, with Ryan Susice racing in third place ahead of polesitter Smith and battling for fifth was Noah Walker and Mat Williamson. Susice would catch and battle with Cotriss for second and then would go after Rouse for the lead. Susice would take over the top spot on lap nine, with Williamson racing in third, catching both Rouse and Susice. Steve Lewis Jr slowed on the front stretch to bring out the caution on lap 13. On the restart, Gary Lindberg would battle with Noah Walker and Jesse Cotriss for fourth place, as Lindberg started 15th on the grid. Lindberg would catch Susice for second place, but Susice would hold off Linberg for the position. Williamson would drive away to his eighth win of the season, 7th in his 358 Modified.
Luke Blose and Derek Smith were on the front row for the Stirling Lubricants DIRTcar Sportsman feature event, with Smith in the lead, with Blose, Austin Susice, Dave Conant, and Tyler Foster raced in the top five. Susice would take over the lead on lap three, as Conant would take over second from Smith. Jake Bansmer would work his way from his eighth place starting spot to take over third place. The caution would come out on lap 10 as Derek Smith and Jordan Moden got together in turn one. Dave Conant would take over the lead by going three wide with Susice and Cam Tuttle. Conant and Tuttle would battle for the lead, with Bansmer in third ahead of Brett Senek, who started 17th on the grid, and Derek Wagner. Senek’s strong run would end as he would hit the turn two wall on lap 14. Derek Wagner would challenge Bansmer for third on the restart, as Conant would continue to lead Tuttle. Tuttle would battle with Conant for the lead for several laps, and Tuttle would take over the lead with five laps remaining. The caution would come out on lap 22 as Nigel Pendykoski spun in turn two. Tuttle would go on to win his third feature of the season.
Nate Tabor and Dave Stolzenberg Jr were on the front row for the KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks with Stolzenberg in the lead. Mike Welch spun in turn three and Jimmy Grant got collected to bring out the race’s first caution. Stolzenberg would lead with Josh Pangrazio moving into second place. Pangrazio would take over the lead on lap two, with Stolzenberg, Mike Kelly, and Brandon Sherwood battling for second place. Sherwood would go three wide to take over second on lap seven, as Pangrazio pulled away from the field. After a late race restart bunched the field up, Pangrazio would go on to win his 10th feature of the season, and 22nd of his Ransomville career, tying him with Roger Israel for fifth all-time.
Jacob Flynn and Ryan Hessler shared the front row for the Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks feature event, with Jeffrey Wynes quickly taking over the lead, with Brandon Close moving into second at the end of lap one. Close would take over the lead on lap two, and would open up his advantage over Wynes, Ryan Plante, Matt and Ben Hornquist. Plante would battle with Wynes for second and would take over the position on lap seven. Matt Hornquist would pass Wynes to move into third on lap 10, with Cole Susice racing in fifth. Close would pull away to his third win of the season.
Jocelyn Just and Cameron Rowlands were on the front row for the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman feature event, with Just in the lead. Madyson Rouse would take over second, with Brendan Zimmerman racing in third place. Zimmerman would take second for a couple of laps, before Rouse being able to regain the position. Austin Seburn would race in fourth place and was challenging Zimmerman for third in the late going. Jocelyn Just would go on to collect the checkered flag.
Next Friday night, Niagara Hardwood, 716 Auto Glass & RCS presents Title Night for all classes, plus the DNA Towing & Recovery Monster Bash Demolition Derby. A full card of Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Stirling Lubricants Sportsman, KiPo Chevrolet Street Stocks, Sunflowers of Sanborn Mini Stocks, and the Kevin’s Carpet Cleaning Novice Sportsman will all be in action. Pit gates will open at 5pm, grandstands at 6pm, and racing will get underway at 7:15pm.
