Little R Celebrates 2021 Season with Fun Race and Awards Banquet
RANSOMVILLE, NY (September 12, 2021) The Ransomville Speedway celebrated the champions of the Little R on Sunday afternoon with the annual fun race and awards banquet. The awards banquet was catered by Chiavettas BBQ and Catering.
As competitors received their point fund money and trophies, speedway management along with the Etue and Stolzenberg families presented the Chris Etue/Larry Stolzenberg Dedication to Kart Racing Award. The award was presented to Mariann Coleman. Mariann sold 50/50 tickets weekly and because of her efforts, over $12,000 was awarded to the drivers in the 2021 Little R drivers point fund.
When the SANY New York go-kart program hit the track for the final time in 2021, new and familiar faces visited victory lane. Jax Cotriss, Kenneth Colon Jr, and Ryan Berry won the Just Signs and Designs Novice features. Austin Gordon won the Fisher’s Auto Repair Senior Lites feature after a last-lap pass. Jenson Cook won the Slack Kart Junior 1 feature. Anthony DiPaolo won the SJE Shocks Junior 2 feature event. Special thanks to Moden Racing for donating $100 to the winner of the Junior 2 feature event. Abigail Fisher won the Fitzgibbon Contracting and Construction Junior 3 event. Colin Spatorico won the Finish Line Auto Detail Senior Heavy fun race.
Jeff Anstett won the track title for the Finish Line Auto Detail Senior Heavy. Eric Veihdeffer won the title in the Fisher’s Auto Repair Senior Lites. Anthony Pollow won the track championship in the Fitzgibbon Contracting and Construction Junior 3 division. Third-generation driver Jacob Schulz was crowned track champion for the SJE Shocks Junior 2. Amelia Westlake won the track title for the Slack Kart Junior 1.
