Mariah Reilly Named 2021 Miss Ransomville

RANSOMVILLE, NY (April 19, 2021) Mariah Reilly has been named Miss Ransomville for the 2021 season at the Ransomville Speedway. She is no stranger to the title, as she was Miss Ransomville back in 2018.

“I applied again for Miss Ransomville because the first time I was crowned Miss Ransomville, it changed my life for the better,” Mariah said. “Being Miss Ransomville made me more out-going and brought out my love for dirt racing.” She was interested in dirt racing after a few visits to the “Big R” and trips to Volusia Speedway Park in Florida.

“The first time I ran for Miss Ransomville, I was told by my family that I should enter for it. I wasn’t sure at first, but I told myself why not and tried out and was crowned Miss Ransomville in 2018,” Mariah said. Mariah saw the opportunity to run again on the Ransomville Speedway’s social media pages. “As I follow Ransomville on social media, I saw that the track was looking for the next Miss Ransomville, so I applied, ” she said.

“I cannot put into words how excited I am to be returning to Ransomville Speedway,” Mariah said. “Ransomville became a special place in my heart, and I am thankful for another opportunity to be Miss Ransomville,” she continued. Mariah said, “I look forward to seeing my Ransomville family, being more involved with the Bailey Brothers Kids Club, and hoping to meet new fans and new drivers at the track this season.”

“Since becoming Miss Ransomville in 2018, it made me realize that I wanted to support my love for racing even more,” Mariah said. Mariah was named Miss VP Racing Fuels for the Race of Champions Series in 2019, traveling to tracks and being at different events throughout the Northeast.

“Racing has been a huge part of my life and it always will be,” she said. Mariah’s family has a long history of racing throughout the region. “My grandfather started racing in the 1960s and raced through the early ‘70s at Lancaster Speedway. He came back into the sport in the late 1980s and had family and friends of the family drive the car,” she added. Her family is also heavily involved with the Friends of Auto Racing (FOAR SCORE) Fan Club. Mariah’s Aunt Jayme drives the family’s Sportsman at Lancaster with aunt Jnan, and mom Tracy being the core of the Thompson Racing support group in the grandstands. Mariah raced and won a 4 Cylinder Powder Puff event at Lancaster. Her sister Sam assists Jayme in the pits on race day after serving as the flagger for the Big Wheels at Lancaster.

“I am very excited about being Miss Ransomville 2021,” Mariah said.
