RANSOMVILLE ADDS CRATE LATE MODELS AND MORE TO JUNE 7 EVENT

RANSOMVILLE, N.Y. (December 29, 2018) - Ransomville Speedway will welcome Crate Late Model teams from across the region on Friday, June 7 for their first race at facility in several seasons. The Crate Lates will be part of a special five division program that night.

The Crate Late Model division is on the rise in Western and Central New York as well as Southern Ontario. Many of the competitors expected for the race at Ransomville run weekly at the nearby Genesee and Humberstone Speedways. Among the drivers that have already expressed interest in competing are a trio of former Ransomville Street Stock drivers, Dave Stolzenberg, Austin Hauser and Ryan Hoolihan.

Rising Crate Late Model star David Pangrazio also has Ransomville’s June 7 race penciled in on his 2019 schedule. This past season Pangrazio finished third in Crate Late Model points at Genesee Speedway with a pair of feature wins. The purse for the 25-lap race will be similar to the weekly Crate LM purse at Genesee.

Joining the Crate Lates on the race card that night will be the Krown Undercoating 358 Modifieds, Ki-Po Chevrolet Street Stocks, Gippster’s Collision Mini Stocks and a non-points Sportsman/Novice Sportsman Shootout. The non-points Sportsman race was added to give teams an opportunity to run the BEI Lightning Sportsman Series event that night at Freedom Motorsports Park.

The June 7 race for the Mini Stocks will be a part of the recently announced eight-race Ransomville Speedway-Genesee Speedway Mini Stock Series. Officials from both facilities worked together this offseason to get their respective Mini Stock divisions on the same page, in an increased show of cooperation between the tracks. The Mini Stock Series will have four events at Genesee and four at Ransomville, with races taking place on back-to-back nights (Friday-Saturday).

Each Mini Stock Series race will pay $300 to win. The tracks have also put together a $3,000 series points fund to pay the top ten drivers with $1,000 going to the overall champion. The full series schedule will be release in the near future.
