HEBING, BORKENHAGEN,
AND CONANT CAPTURE WINS AT RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY

Ransomville,
NY – Friday, June 27, 2008 – It was week number eight at
Ransomville Speedway and another hot night as temperatures neared 90
by mid afternoon. A total of eighty-five cars filled the pit area
and another great crowd packed the grandstands.

Jipp Ortiz of
Ransomville, NY went from the outhouse to the penthouse in one weeks
time. After flipping hard the week prior, Ortiz brought home the win
last Friday aboard the Original Pizza Logs main event. Ortiz took
the lead away from James Henry on lap thirteen and held it the
remaining twelve laps. Ortiz enjoyed his second win of the season
aboard his Original Pizza Logs sponsored #0. Henry, Don Spatorico,
Justin Sharp, and James Friesen rounded out the top five
The Cobra Chuck
Hebing of Ontario, NY took top honors aboard the twenty-five lap
ASCS Patriot Sprint feature main. Hebing took the lead away from
Jared Zimbardi on lap nineteen and maintained the top spot through
the remaining distance.
Kreitter led
the early going followed by Zimbardi and Hebring. Zimbardi took the
lead on lap five with Hebing in tow. Hebing used the highside on lap
nineteen to take the top spot from Zimbardi in turn two. Hebing led
the remaining laps to the win followed by Zimbardi, Tim Kelly, Blake
Breen, and Bobby Breen. Several cautions slowed the pace of the
twenty-five lap main including one red for hometown hero Curt
Sherwood who took a wild ride off turn four on lap four. Sherwood
ended up in the frontstretch moat. Curt was a-okay but the night was
over for his racer.

Derrick
Borkenhagen of Niagara Falls, NY became the eleventh different
winner in the Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstock division. Borkenhagen
inherited the lead from Don Rappleyea just prior to half way after
the 6 developed mechanical woes and headed pitside. Borkenhagen led
the remaining distance to the win. Roger Israel, Pat Burek, Jaren
Israel, and Gerald Poole rounded out the top five.

Dave Conant
notched his second win of the season aboard the Ki-Po Chevrolet
