SUPRICK, SPATORICO,
BUREK, CONANT, AND LEDERHOUSE TAKE WINS AT THE BIG R

(Alex and Helen Bruce Photos)
Ransomville, NY – Friday, August 03, 2007 – Despite
thunderstorms in the Niagara Frontier area-Ransomville Speedway was
able to complete their scheduled racing program last Friday night. A
total of ninety-nine cars filled the pit area.
George Suprick of Clarks Summit, Pa took top honors aboard the ASCS
Patriot Sprint main event last Friday. Suprick led the field through
the majority of the main event and collected his first win at
Ransomville Speedway. The twenty-five lap main went caution free. A
full run down can be found in this publication.
Don Spatorico notched win number five on the season and his fourth
in a row aboard the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman division. One
could say that Spatorico had a golden horseshoe riding with him as
lady luck most certainly was shining on him as he repeatedly missed
the mayhem on the track. A total of three cautions slowed the main
event-all of which happened in front of Spatorico. Spatorico
was able to dodge the spinning cars and go on to win the twenty-five
lap main event. Steve Miller came home in second followed by Scott
Just, Steve Schumacher, and John Panattoni.
Dave Conant took top honors last Friday night aboard the first
Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock main event. Conant took the lead
away from Pat Dell in the early going and was never seriously
challenged after that point. Conant became the fifteenth different
winner in the entry level division. Nate Vetter, Dell, Roger Israel,
and Wayne Close rounded out the top five.
Chris Burek of Ransomville, NY took top honors for the third time
this season aboard the Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstocks. Burek
took the lead away from Jaren Israel with two circuits remaining and
went on to collect the win. Ryan Susice, Dan Baughman, Rick Widmer,
and Boots Martin rounded out the top five.
Chris Lederhouse took top honors last Friday night aboard the Bobcat
of Buffalo Firehall Enduro fifteen lap main. Representing the
Ransomville Fire Hall-Lederhouse battled with Tim Durfy for the
entire fifteen laps. Contact with just two laps to go left
Lederhouse off the back stretch. Lederhouse was able to regain his
momentum and cross the line in second. However a rough riding call
on Durfy resulted in Lederhouse being awarded the win. Jake Wendt
finished in second followed by Durfy, Jim Stone, and Rick Hess.
