KRULL, LONNEVILLE AND SCHUMACHER
CLAIM WINS AT RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY

(Alex and Helen Bruce Photos)
Ransomville,
NY – Friday, June 15th, 2007 – A packed grandstand enjoyed a
night full of action last Friday night at the big R. A full card was
on tap with a special 50 lap Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock main
taking center stage. When the final checkered flew-two new winners
and a crafty veteran graced victory lane.
Robbie Krull of Lockport, NY took top honors aboard the thirty lap
Mighty Taco Modified main last Friday night. Krull took the lead
away from Sam Crogan in the early going and simply dominated the
remainder of the event leading by a full straight away over the
second place runner at one point. Krull became the fifth different
winner in six weeks aboard the head-lining division. Brachmann came
home in second
followed by Burley, Vinson, and McGinnis.
Crogan led the early
going in what was an uneventful feature main. The veteran
field ran clean and green through the entire event with only one
caution slowing the pace. Krull had his #123 dialed in as he
blistered the field. Lapped traffic allowed Brachmann and Burley to
reel in the Lockport native but Krull was too strong and collected
the
big win.

The fifty lap Johnston’s Restaurant Streetstock main was a survival
of the fittest as several cautions plagued the event. When the dust
cleared-rookie contender Brian Lonneville sat in victory lane.
Lonneville ran a very smart race keeping his nose clean and was
simply in the right place at the right time as he inherited the lead
when
Jaren Israel lost the handle in turn four suffering a flat tire
while leading. Lonneville was able to maintain the point position
through the final circuits and collect a very popular win. Veteran
Kenny Washburn came home in second followed by Wayne Close, Kirk
Tuttle and Dave Conant.
Close led the field through lap twenty-four prior to Jaren Israel
taking over the top spot. Israel looked to have victory in hand but
disaster struck for the champion contender as he spun in turn four
on lap thirty-five. Lonneville inherited the top spot and was able
to maintain the point position through the final circuits.

Steve Schumacher of Lockport, NY became the sixth different winner
aboard the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman division. Schumacher took
the lead from Derek Smith aboard his American Harley Davidson
sponsored machine on lap eight and quickly pulled away from the
remainder of the field. Schumacher was able to maintain the top spot
through the twenty- ive lap mark and collect the big win. Points
leader Don Spatorico advanced to second but ran out of time aboard
his #5 machine. Rookie
Steve Miller came home in third followed by Scott Just and Tommy
Flannigan.
