KATY KNOLL, CAM STEFANSKI, BRETT SENEK, MIKE SEEFELDT, AND CORI CROWNED 2010 GOKART CHAMPIONS; CARMER, SMITH, TARNOWSI, STEFANSKI, SENEK, SEEFELDT, AND SPATORICO NOTCH WINS ON FINAL NIGHT

Thursday, September 2nd - A total of sixty-six gokarts signed in pitside last Thursday night at the Little R. It was double points night with the 2010 championships on the line.

In the Novice ranks - a total of eleven karts battled in the twin ten lap mains. Michael Carmer claimed his third win of the season aboard the first ten lap stint having led all ten circuits to the checkered. Austyn Worstroh, Taylor Morris, Kiersten Farina, and Anthony Wagner rounded out the field. In the second ten lap main the win went to Shely Smith. Smith came close to lapping the entire field as she led all ten laps. PJ Koestler, Olivia Tober, Kevin Marsh, and #36t rounded out the field.

The Junior I points title was the closest in the five divisions. Katy Knoll needed a fourth place finish or better to secure the title while Gene Gregoric needed a win. As the field came off turn four of the final lap - Knoll ran fifth while Gregoric was was third. A scramble on the front stretch dropped Knoll to seventh at the line - while it made for a nervous moment for the Krull crew - the finish would prove to be good enough as Katy took the title by six markers of Gregoric. Nicholas Tarnowski took his second win of the season aboard the fifteen lap main followed by Jeff Chapman, Gregoric, Cole Susice, Dylan Duhow, Matthew Wollaber, Knoll, Noah Wollaber, Andrew Srock, Selena Smith, Stephen Imerese, Kyle Phillips, and Eric Veihdeffer.

In the Junior II ranks - the win and title went to Cam Stefanski. Stefanski dominated the Junior II ranks finishing the season with nine wins. Stefanski was followed across the line by Tristan Jeffery, Alyssa Mullen, Austin Susice, Steve Lewis, Al Kramp, Chase Collins, David Littlefield, Marc Eberz, PJ Koestler, Trent Curtis, and Megan Cleveley.

The 2010 Junior Restricted title was won by Brett Senek. Senek also dominated his class winning his tenth main this past Thursday. Brad Duhow, Matthew Veihdeffer, Nicholas Schultz, Casey Smalley, John Conklin, Cody Kott, RJ Littlefield, and Brian Monahan rounded out the field.

The Stock Medium championship was awarded to Mike Seefeldt aboard his #12r machine. Seefeldt came into the night with the points lead and simply needed a good finish to secure the title. Seefeldt came home second to Steve Sweet thus earning him the crown. Sweet did all he could do by winning the fifteen lap main but it was not enough to take over the points lead. Sweet finished second in points. At the line it was Sweet, Seefeldt, Matthew Farnham, Seana Case, Tim Wnek, Brandon Zavarella, James Gorcheck, George Curtis, Cole Daubney, and Andy Schermerhorn.

The 2010 Clone Title went to Cori Webber while the win on Thursday went to Colin Spatorico. Webber needed to keep Jeff Anstett in sight in order to take home the inaugural title and did just that finishing one position behind him on the track. Anstett finished in second followed by Webber, Ron Spatorico, Bailey Hudson, Taylor Sears, #8, and John Bonesky.
