WINSTEL, PURGARICH, WALKER. TEETO, REYNOLDS, FOTI, DEMMIN, & ANSTETT TAKE GO-KART WINS AT RANSOMVILLE

 

Ransomville, NY…Thursday, August 8th, 2003…Great news from the Demmin family finds Larry in stable condition after suffering an apparent heart-attack following his feature win Thursday night. Demmin inherited the lead on lap nineteen after the top two runners of Pete Coppins and Dennis Universal came together coming off turn four. Demmin led the remaining two circuits enroute to his third win of the season. John Herrington, Lyle Demmin, Pete Coppins, Dennis Universal, and Dave Sydor rounded out the field.

                In Stock Heavy action, Jeff Anstett captured his fifth feature of the season-leading the entire twenty laps. Mike Kopp, Erich Becher, and Jon-Michael Herrington rounded out the field.

                David Foti took the lead away from Anthony Rizzardo on lap thirteen of the twenty-lap Stock Medium feature and went on for his second win of the season. Bryan Boyle advanced to second and took over the points lead. Tim Fidanza, Darrell Borkenhagen, and Blake Priestly rounded out the top five.

                In Junior Restricted feature action, Nathan Reynolds took the lead away from Mike Robinson on lap five and led the remaining circuits enroute to the win. In a photo finish, Reynolds just edged out points leader Erick Rudolph at the line. Rudolph was competing with a broken leg and had to come from the back of the pack twice. Ryan Susice, Nick Herriven, and Jessie Schermerhorn rounded out the top five.  Schermerhorn came from scratch on the field after arriving late due to a softball game.

                Ryan Teeto took the lead at the drop of the green aboard the Junior II class and led the entire distance to his second win of the season. Teeto held off persistent challenges from Kyle Szlachta for most of the event. Szlachta came home second followed by Danny Knoll, Ryan Lucas, and Albert Giavannucci.

                In the Junior I class, Tyler Walker inherited the lead when the top two of Dylan Richardson and Eddie Weiser came together in turn one. Walker piloted his Original Pizza Logs sponsored machine to his second win of the season over Cori Webber, Kristen Knoll, Joseph Zahno, and Weiser.

                Gregg Winstel and Stephanie Purgarich each picked up one of the Novice Feature wins.
