PHILLIPS, ILLIG, GREGORIC, JEFFERY, SMALLEY, SEEFELDT, AND KNOX WIN GOKART FEATURES

Thursday, June 24th, 2010 - A total of sixty three karts signed in pitside last Thursday night to do battle in one of the six weekly racing divisions.   Kyle Phillips collected his fourth in the Novice ranks in just six weeks.  Phillips took the lead away from Shelby Smith on lap nine and held it the remaining circuit.  Smith, Dylan Duhow, Joshua Kiszka, and Michael Carmer.  Phillips is just two wins away from the minimum of six allowed in the Novice ranks before having to move up to the Junior I ranks.
     In the second Novice main the win went to Rachelle Illig - her second of the season. Rachelle took the lead at the drop of the green and maintained it the entire ten laps.  Illig took the win ahead of Anthony Wagner, Olivia Tober, Tyler Derubeis, and Kevin Marsh.
     Gene Gregoric won his second of the season aboard the Junior I ranks after claiming the win in the fifteen lap main event. Gregoric took the lead away from Jeff Chapman on lap nine and showed the way the remaining distance. Chapman held on for second followed by Katy Knoll, Cole Susice, Nicholas Tarnowski, Stephen Imerese, Selena Smith, Eric Veihdeffer, and Andrew Srock.
     Tristan Jeffery made it two wins in a row in the Junior II class after taking the win this past Thursday. Jeffery took the lead on lap one and was never seriously challenged. Points leader David Littlefield finished in second followed by Alyssa Mullen, Al Kramp, Steve Lewis, PJ Koestler, Trent Curtis, RJ Littlefield, Austin Susice, Cam Stefanski, Chase Collins, Marc Eberz, and Megan Cleveley.
     Casey Smalley led the first seven laps before giving up the point position to Brett Senek.  However Smalley was not to be denied as he regained the top spot with an inside move on lap fourteen. Smalley collected the win followed by Nichalas Schultz, Senek, Cody Kott, Matthew Veihdeffer, Brian Monahan, and John Conklin.
     Mike Seefeldt took the lead away from Jonathon Reid on lap eight and held on to the point position the remainder of the event. Matthew Farnham made his way to second at the finish followed by Steven Sweet, Reid, Brandon Zavarella, Kevin Daunce, Seana Case, Tim Swatsworth, James Gorcheck, Cole Daubney, Jeff Giovino, Scott Bonesky, John Bonesky, Chris Lammerts, and Andy Schermerhorn.
     The Clone feature win went to Brian Knox.  Knox led all fifteen laps to the checkered. Casey Smalley did double duty and came home second in the Clone feature. Jeff Anstett, Cori Webber, Taylor Sears, and Colin Spatorico rounded out the field.
