Ransomville, NY Friday, June 11, 2010 One hundred and five competitors signed in pitside at the big R last Friday night. A full card of Mighty Taco Modifieds, Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstocks, and Bobcat of Buffalo Firehall Enduros entertained two thousand fans who packed the grandstands.
Scott Kerwin of Newfane, NY captured the win aboard the thirty lap Mighty Taco Modified feature main aboard his Troyer chassis BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York / National Maintenance Contracting Corporation sponsored machine. Kerwin used a move to the inside on Justin Sharp with just a couple laps remaining to take over the point position. Kerwin captured the very popular win in front of several family, friends, and sponsors who had gathered for the BlueCross BlueShield night at the races. A very emotional Kerwin dedicated the win to his late father who passed away during the 2009 racing season. Chad Brachmann finished in the runner up position followed by Sharp, Pete Bicknell, and James Michael Friesen.

Mark Potter of Appleton, NY took the win aboard the twenty-five lap Original Pizza Logs Sportsman main. Potter took the lap at the drop of the green and held off persistent challenges by Nate Reynolds in the final ten laps. Potter became the sixth different winner in the opened wheel division for the 2010 season. Reynolds came home in second followed by Don Spatorico, Ryan Susice, and Mike Williams.

Brandon Sherwood of Sanborn, NY collected the win aboard the first fifteen lap Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstock feature main. Sherwood inherited the lead on lap one after contact between the front two of John Carlson and Joe Rickard side-lined both racers. Sherwood led the remainder of the feature main and became the eighth different winner of the 2010 season aboard the class. Gerald Poole, Mike Greenawalt, Brian Lonneville, and Charles Harvey rounded out the top five.

Mark Loveland of Niagara Falls, NY captured his third win of the season aboard the Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstock division last Friday night. Loveland used a move to the inside of Webb Nashwinter on the final circuit of the second fifteen lap main event to take over the point position and the win. Webb Nashwinter, Roger Israel, Scott Krull, and Derrick Borkenhagen rounded out the top five. A lengthy red flag period slowed the event after Jaren Israel went for a wild ride early in the race. The catch fence did its job as Jaren came to rest against it after a violent flip off turn four. We are glad to report Jaren was a-okay. Unfortunately his racer looked virtually destroyed.

Jimmy Harbison of Ransomville, NY took top honors last Friday night aboard the twelve lap Bobcat of Buffalo Firehall Enduro Feature main. Harbison took the lead away from Hoyt Desso just prior to half way and held it the remaining distance. Desso held on for second followed by Chad Lederhouse, Jim Stone, and Erick Gunio.
