BURLEY, ORTIZ, LOVELAND, AND MATSON QUICKEST AT RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY’S ANNUAL TEST, TUNE, AND TIME

Ransomville, NY – Friday, April 23, 2010 – Continuing with the trend for 2010 – Ransomville Speedway set yet another record with a total of ninety-seven cars participating in the annual test, tune, and time. Of these – ninety-five cars were Ransomville regulars with a couple of sprint cars thrown in for good measure. In addition to a packed pit area – a few hundred fans turned out on a clear but chilly night to check out the new paint schemes for the upcoming season.  The regular season will kick off on Friday, April 30th with a  full card of Mighty Taco Modified, Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstocks, and Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers.

 

            Todd Burley of Spencerport, NY topped a field of twenty-five Mighty Taco Modifieds last Friday night with a time of 17.46 earning him the pole position for opening night’s thirty lap main event. Burley will share the front row with Chad Brachmann of Sanborn, NY who posted a time of 17.46.  

 

            Jipp Ortiz of Ransomville, NY set fast time aboard the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman division.  Ortiz topped a field of twenty-one cars aboard his Original Pizza Logs Sportsman entry with a time of 18.36. Justin Wright of Piffard, NY fell just short with a time of 18.40 thus earning him the outside pole position for opening nights twenty-five lap feature go.

 

 

            Mark Loveland of Niagara Falls, NY has returned to the big R for regular competition in 2010 and did it in a big way – setting fast time aboard the Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstocks. Loveland’s time of 21.15 beat Roger Israel’s time of 21.27.  Each will earn a pole position starting spot in the twin fifteen lap main events. Gerald Poole’s time of 21.35 earned him the second starting position in the first twin feature while Jaren Israel will start second in the second twin fifteen lap main.

 

            Steve Matson of Ransomville, NY set quick time aboard the Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers division.  Matson’s time of 23.53 earned him the quick time for opening nights main event. Danny Walchuk timed second with 23.62 earning hin the outside pole position.
