SUSICE, BARNEY,
POOLE, AND ISRAEL WIN AT RANSOMVILLE SPEEDWAY

Ransomville, NY – Friday, June 19, 2009 – Ransomville
Speedway welcomed back the Empire Super Sprints last Friday
night after a nine year absence. A total of twenty-two
winged wonders in addition to a full program of Original
Pizza Logs Sportsman and Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstocks
thrilled the packed grandstands on Labatts and Mighty Taco
night.
Jason Barney topped the field aboard the twenty-five lap
Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints main event. Barney took the
lead at the drop of the green and held off persistent
challenges from Chuck Hebing through the first half of the
feature. While Barney went on for the big win, Hebing’s
night didn’t fair so well as contact with the turn three
guardrail sent the Cobra up and over – flipping several
times before coming to rest outside of turn three. Michael
Parent and Jared Zimbardi rounded out the top three.

Ryan Susice of Ransomville, NY won his fourth of the season
aboard the Original Pizza Logs Sportsman division. Susice
took just nine laps to go from 12th to 1st
aboard his #38k Investors Services sponsored machine. Susice
took the win over Don Spatorico, Jesse Cotriss, Sandy
Pembleton, and Derek Smith.

Gerald Poole became the first repeat winner aboard the Ki-Po
Chevrolet Streetstock division in 2009. Poole took the lead
at the drop of the green and maintained it through the
entire fifteen laps-holding off persistent challenges from
Pat Dell in the process. Dell finished in second followed by
Scott Krull, Mike Greenawalt, and Ricky Washburn.

Jaren Israel of Wilson, NY took top honors aboard the
second fifteen lap Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstock main. Israel
took the lead away from Charles Harvey on lap eight and
quickly pulled away from the field. Israel took his second
win of the 2009 season. Billy Coleman, Chris Burek, Mike
Childrose, and Derrick Borkenhagen rounded out the top five.
