RICHNER, BORKENHAGEN,
FRIESEN, SPATORICO, RAPPLEYEA, SHERWOOD,
AND WAGNER TAKE WINS AT
RANSOMVILLE

Friday, June 5, 2009 - Ransomville, NY It was a racing
marathon last Friday night at Ransomville Speedway as the
rained out Streetstock (50 laps) and Modified (30 laps)
features were added to an already scheduled full card of
racing. The weather was picture perfect as bright blue skies
greeted drivers and fans whom filed into the big R.
Ricky Richner of Niagara Falls, NY won the held over
Investors Services 30 lap Modified main. Richner took the
lead just prior to half-way and held it through the final
laps. Richner piloted his Jetport Lounge / Niagara Lazy
Lakes sponsored #26 to a comfortable victory over Mat
Williamson who enjoyed his best finish at the big R in the
Modified ranks. Bobby Davidson, Rich Vins on, and Jeff
McGinnis rounded out the top five.

Derrick Borkenhagen of Niagara Falls, NY took top honors
last Friday night aboard the held over Investors Services 50
lap Streetstock main. Borkenhagen inherited the lead just
past half-way when current leader Gerald Poole slipped high
and made contact with the turn one wall. Borkenhagen held
off persistent challenges from Ricky Washburn through the
last half of the event. Washburn, Chris Burek, Webb
Nashwinter, and Roger Israel rounded out the top five.

Stewart Friesen of Niagara on the Lake, Ont captured the win
aboard the 30 lap Mighty Taco Modified Feature main event.
Friesen took the lead away from Sam Crogan around the lap
twenty mark and never looked back. Friesen made his rare
appearance at Ransomville Speedway pay off as he collected
the big win aboard the #88 Don Spiece back up machine.
Crogan, Pete Bicknell, Chad Brachmann, and Scott Kerwin
rounded out the top five.

Don Spatorico of Ransomville, NY won his second Orig inal
Pizza Logs Sportsman main of the 2009 season. Spatorico took
the lead away from Steve Miller on lap sixteen and
maintained it the remaining distance aboard his #5 machine.
Justin Wright and Ryan Susice battled side by side through
the final circuits with Susice taking second at the
checkered. Wright, John Smith, and Nate Reynolds rounded out
the top five.

Don Rappleyea took top honors aboard the first Ki-Po
Chevrolet Streetstock fifteen lap main. Rappleyea took the
lead at the drop of the green and maintained it through the
final laps. Rappleyea became the seventh different winner of
2009. Brian Lonneville, Mike Childrose, Webb Nashwinter, and
Ricky Washburn rounded out the top five.

Brandon Sherwood piloted the former Boots Martin owned
machine to his first victory of 2009 aboard the Ki-Po
Chevrolet Streestock division. Sherwood took the lead away
from Randy Zimmerman on lap eight and maintained it through
the final laps. Scott Krull, Derrick Borkenhagen, Dave
Conant, and Charles Harvey rounded out the top five.

Derek Wagner captured the win in the Bobcat of Buffalo
Firehall Enduro Series. Wagner took the lead away from Tim
Durfy on lap eight and never looked back enroute to his
first win in the division.
