Ransomville, NY – Friday, May 22, 2009 – It was
another great night of racing at the big R last Friday
as one hundred and three cars filled the pit area.
Another great crowd was on hand to witness competitive
side by side racing aboard the 4 weekly divisions.
Todd Burley of Spencerport, NY took top
honors aboard the Lucas Oil 50 Lap Modified Shoot-out.
Burley used a move to the20inside of Scott Kerwin on lap
forty-five to take over the top spot. Kerwin had
appeared to have the feature in hand but a late race
caution bunched up the field and put Burley on his back
bumper. Kerwin was able to maintain the second position
at the line followed by Rich Vinson, Jeff McGinnis, and
Jeff McGinnis. It was Burley’s third win in as many
weeks keeping his undefeated streak alive. Several
yellow flags plaqued the event along with one red coming
just prior to the mid-way point for Larry Lampman who
went up and over the turn one wall. Lampman was ok but
his racer suffered major damage.

Don
Spatorico of Ransomville, NY won his first of the season
last Friday aboard the twenty-five lap Original Pizza
Logs Sportsman main. Spatorico took the lead away from
Justin Wright with just a hand full of laps remaining
enroute to the win. Two time winner Ryan Susice advanced
to second at the checkered followed by Wright, Jesse
Cotriss, and Nathan Reynolds.

Patrick Dell of Ransomville, NY took top honors aboard
the first fifteen lap Ki-Po Chevrolet main event. Dell
took the lead at the drop of the green and maintained it
the entire distance aboard his #14p machine. Dell was
able to keep the defending champion Chris Burek at bay
and became the fifth di fferent winner of 2009 aboard
the full fendered division. Tim Raymond, Stuart Kumm,
and Mike Greenawalt rounded out the top five. A total of
seventeen cars started the event.

Gerald Poole became the sixth different
driver to visit victory lane aboard the Ki-Po Chevrolet
Streetstocks. Poole took the lead at the drop of the
green and maintained it the entire fifteen lap distance.
Charles Harvey enjoyed his best finish of his racing
career after scoring a second place finish. Billy
Coleman, Jaren Israel, and Dave Conant rounded out the
top five. A total of seventeen cars started the event.

Derek Wagner of Middleport, NY won the
inaugural event for the Flexcare 4 Bangers. Wagner took
the lead away from Jimmy Pringle in the early going and
maintained it through the remainder of the event.
