Ransomville, NY – Friday, August 27, 2010 – Some one hundred and nine cars filled the pit area last Friday night as Firth Jewelers and the Greater Niagara Newspapers presented a Full Card of Mighty Taco Modifieds, Original Pizza Logs Sportsman, Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstocks, and Gippsters Collision 4 Bangers. Once again – a great crowd gathered to enjoy a night full of side by side racing action.
James Michael Friesen enjoyed his first win of the season at the big R after leading all thirty laps aboard the Mighty Taco Modified main. After some dismal finishes as of late, Friesen found himself on the front row for the feature main. Friesen wasted no time and quickly jumped out to a large advantage over the twenty-nine car field. Friesen maintained the top spot and took the win followed by Boyd MacTavish, Erick Rudolph, Chad Brachmann, and Mat Williamson.

Mark Potter of Appleton, NY took top honors last Friday night. Potter took the lead early on and held off persistent challenges by Derek Smith through the middle stages of the event. Potter enjoyed his second win of the season aboard the Martin Motorsports owned #99 entry. Greg Martin, Smith, Jesse Cotriss, and Don Spatorico. A total of twenty-five cars took the green with twenty-two still on the track at the finish
Mark Loveland of Niagara Falls, NY enjoyed his fifth win of the season aboard the Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstock class after taking the win in the first twin fifteen. Involved in a torrid battle with Roger Israel and Jon Richael in the early going – Loveland took the lead after contact between the other two left Richael around in front of the field. Loveland went on for the win followed by Alex Morris, Chris Burek, Israel, and Cory Sawyer.
Scott Krull of Cambria, NY won his second of the season aboard the Ki-Po Chevrolet Streetstock division after taking the win in the second fifteen lap main. Krull was in the right place at the right time as he inherited the lead after contact between Pat Dell and Charles Harvey knocked the pair out of contention. Jacob Stefanski, Mike Greenawalt, Donald Rappleyea, and Brian Lonneville rounded out the top five.
Steve Matson of Ransomville, NY took top honors last Friday night aboard the twelve lap Gippsters Collision 4 Banger main. Matson took the lead away from Mike Pahl with just a pair of laps remaining. Contact between the two left Pahl with a flat tire thus resulting in several positions lost. Matson took the win over Eugene Washburn, Matt Matson, Zack Sam, and Jamie Woods.
